La reserva natural de Overbroek es una de las principales atracciones de Gelinden. Incluye, entre otras cosas, una cama de juncos y un campo de clemátides. Los conocedores encontrarán menta acuática, iris amarillo, orquídea silvestre, angélica y otras especies de plantas valiosas. El Herk, que fluye desde las cercanas Rukkelingen hasta el Demer, cruza la reserva natural y el pueblo.
