El Canal Gante-Brugge, localmente también conocido como Vaart de Brujas y Vaart de Gante, es un canal entre las ciudades belgas de Gante y Brugge. El canal tiene 42 km de largo. Los caminos de servicio forman parte de la red de puntos de ciclistas y entre Brugge y Aalter de la vía ciclista rápida F6. Ya en el siglo XIII, Brugge se encargó de ensanchar y profundizar el Reie y el Zuidleie. De esta manera, intentó aumentar el suministro de agua potable y poder drenar brazos de mar como el Zwin. Para aumentar aún más el volumen, se excavó entre 1270 y 1280 desde el Zuidleie hasta el Hoge Kale. Así, también pudo fluir una parte del Hoge Kale en el canal Zuidleie.
