Característica del paisaje de la Calestienne, el sitio se localiza al norte de Han-sur-Lesse, en la orilla derecha del Lomme. Incluido en el "parque nacional de Lesse-et-Lomme" creado en 1954 bajo la égida de la asociación Ardenne y Gaume, abarca el macizo de piedra caliza que también contiene la cueva de Eprave, un sitio que conoció anteriormente un turismo intenso. Esta colina, que alcanza los 200 m de altitud, está principalmente cubierta por una vegetación forestal compuesta, entre otros, de encinas y carpes calcícolas. Un acantilado limita el sitio al noreste, a nivel del meandro del Lomme. En su conjunto, está surcado por numerosos senderos.
