Este castillo fue construido en 1938, a petición de la pareja compuesta por el barón Paul de Giey y la literaria Suzanne Parmentier. El diseño es de Maurice Vermeersch.
El castillo de ladrillo fue construido en un estilo historicista, haciendo referencia a la renacimiento flamenca y se realizó como un castillo de agua rodeado de fosos, con un puente de piedra de arcos, una torre octogonal y una torre redonda, así como con pináculos escalonados.
