Sente es una aldea y parroquia situada en el lugar donde se encuentran los límites de los municipios de Lendelede, Kuurne y Heule. El lugar lleva el nombre de la santa Catalina de Alejandría.
El núcleo se formó en el cruce del antiguo camino de conexión Kortrijk - Roeselare con el camino hacia Heule. En 1870, la parroquia fue reconocida. La iglesia neorrománica de Santa Catalina, construida en 1879, se encuentra en el territorio de Kuurne, la escuela principalmente en Lendelede y la mayor parte del pueblo está en el territorio de Heule. Esto crea una serie de problemas únicos, como la fábrica de la iglesia que depende de tres municipios.
