Sus van Gils, un agricultor local, montó en su caballo y carrito un día de 1932 hacia sus campos. Al entrar en su parcela, se cayó de su carrito. Cayó justo frente a la rueda y temió ser atropellado. Por un milagro, el caballo se detuvo y Sus quedó ileso.
En agradecimiento, construyó la capilla de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes.
Las hermanas Leestmans encontraron este lugar extremadamente adecuado para descansar sentadas. Juntas, ofrecieron un billete con la inscripción:
"Un frankske por un bancoske de un plankske"
Ahora la capillita es mantenida por el municipio.
