Inicialmente, en este lugar se encontraba el Hof ter Walle. La construcción del actual castillo neorenacentista comenzó en 1854 y duró hasta 1859. El castillo fue construido por encargo del barón Polydore Piers de Raveschoot-Surmont de Volsberghe. Cuatro de sus seis hijos más tarde se convirtieron en alcaldes de Olsene. Actualmente, el dominio es de propiedad privada y solo se puede visitar excepcionalmente. Desde 1995, el castillo está reconocido como monumento. Durante el día de la agricultura, cada tercer domingo de septiembre, el municipio de Zulte organiza junto con productores locales un Mercado de Agricultores.
