El Meikensbossen se encuentra al pie del Poelberg y tiene una superficie de aprox. 63 hectáreas. Puede disfrutar de un agradable paseo por el variado paisaje. Bosques viejos y jóvenes, bosques, heno y prados. Una piscina aquí y allá. La vista del Poelbergmühle completa el cuadro. Mientras disfruta del paisaje, los pájaros cantores brindan un agradable interludio.
Entre 2000 y 2010, la Agencia de Naturaleza y Silvicultura compró 46 hectáreas de tierra en esta zona, de las cuales 3,5 hectáreas pertenecían a la antigua Vijverbos.
El joven Meikensbos ya ofrece una sorprendente variedad de paisajes entre bosques viejos y jóvenes, prados naturales y plantaciones de semillas.
