La Thier de Coo es considerada una de las pendientes más pronunciadas de Bélgica y estaría en el puesto 163 a nivel mundial. Normalmente, la ascensión se realiza desde Stavelot. Sin embargo, este lugar de descanso se encuentra en el camino de Coo a Ster, a aproximadamente 400 m de altura. La subida continúa hasta los 470 m, pero en esta bifurcación también puedes ir directamente a Stavelot a través de Parfondry.
Cerca hay también un pequeño monumento a la guerra para el desminador Roland Albert Joseph.
