La piscifactoría de la Commanderie existe desde el siglo XVII, lo que la convierte en la más antigua de Bélgica. El hecho de que cultiven y sirvan truchas de alta calidad aquí se debe en parte al agua pura de la fuente de Voer: la mayor fuente de Flandes.
