Este monumento se encuentra junto a Sint-Petrus en Pauluskerk en Sint-Petrus en Paulusplein en Ostende.
El monumento a las víctimas de la guerra de 1922 de Pieter-Jan Braecke (1859-1938) se encontraba originalmente en la plaza frente a la iglesia. Este monumento fue demolido en 1968. La estatua de bronce con el soldado fue trasladada a "De Plate" (Museo Histórico de Ostende). Los dos altos relieves ("La fuga de los pescadores de Ostende 1914" y "La liberación 1918") fueron colocados primero en el cementerio a lo largo de Vindictivelaan y luego, en 2000, por August Michiels con un nuevo busto del rey Alberto I y la reina Isabel, al lado de la iglesia.
