Al final del camino en el cementerio de Sint-Pietersveld, en una altura, hay un Calvario en un nicho de ladrillo rojo bajo un tejado de pizarra, una cruz de madera con un crucifijo de yeso pintado. En la esquina este del cementerio hay varias hileras de cruces de hormigón de tumbas de víctimas de la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
El pequeño cementerio fue inaugurado en 1854 como lugar de enterramiento de la 'Ecole de Réforme de Ruyslede'.
El cementerio se utilizó para el entierro de directores, miembros del personal y en los primeros años también los inquilinos de las instituciones en Ruiselede y Beernem. Antes de la construcción del cementerio, entre 1849 y 1853, los niños del asilo fueron enterrados en el cementerio de Ruiselede. El cercano Veldkapelleke es parte del municipio de Wingene.
