Acceso al dominio a través de Kasteeldreef o Torhoutsesteenweg, Loppem. Aquí puede observar pájaros en el escondite y dar un agradable paseo por el estanque. Al otro lado de la calle está el bosque y la Abadía de Zevenkerken.
Se construyó un molino de agua en Veldbeek en 1562 en el sitio donde se encuentra ahora el estanque. El ligero declive de la corriente significó que el molino nunca fue realmente un éxito. Se construyeron algunos estanques de ahorro para garantizar que la molienda aún pudiera realizarse durante los períodos más secos. El molino de agua habría estado activo hasta alrededor de 1800.
El complejo de edificios siguió existiendo como una granja con la posada De Watermolen. En 1957, el edificio fue demolido para enderezar el Torhoutsesteenweg en la curva de Zevenkerken. El resto de los edificios se conservaron y hace unas décadas se construyó un estanque en los terrenos de atrás.
