Esta área de picnic cubierta se encuentra en la intersección de Fonteinstraat y Wulvedreef en Wijnendalebos.

Las familias nobles utilizaron los Wijnendalebos como pabellón de caza . El bosque permaneció prácticamente intacto hasta la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII .
La construcción de nuevos caminos favoreció la deforestación y en la primera mitad del siglo XIX la vasta selva ya estaba muy fragmentada. Se han plantado muchas especies exóticas para la producción de madera.
