Mercado de pescado al aire libre, surgido de la expansión del puerto en el siglo XIX. La Escalera de Pescado está abierta todos los días, excepto cuando ha habido tormenta en el mar. Desde temprano en la mañana, aquí encontrará el pescado más fresco del Mar del Norte y los langostinos grises de Ostende. La Escalera de Pescado es el único lugar en Bélgica donde se pueden comprar langostinos directamente del pescador.
