En 1588, JB Du Bois de Fiennes fundó en su castillo una capilla dedicada a San Fiacre. San Fiacro es el santo patrón de los jardineros.
Sin embargo, no fue hasta 1676 que los residentes pudieron asistir a misa y recibir los sacramentos del bautismo y el matrimonio. En 1718 un pastor se instaló en Membre, seguido de un pastor en 1853.
La antigua capilla, rodeada por el cementerio, fue derribada en 1888 y sustituida por la iglesia actual.
Llama la atención el órgano construido por Georg Westenfelder, uno de los mejores de su época. Todavía se dan conciertos de órgano.
