La estación de Willebroek fue inaugurada el 28 de julio de 1870 en Willebroek junto con el tramo Mechelen - Bornem por la compañía Mechelen - Terneuzen en la línea de ferrocarril 54. El 8 de agosto de 1881, Willebroek se conectó a través de la línea de ferrocarril 61 con la estación Boom y la estación Londerzeel. De esto, solo se ha mantenido la conexión a Boom en la línea 52/2 de la línea 61. Desde la reorganización de la estación, la vía 3 ha sido eliminada y desmantelada.
