Esta Ruta del Café Meetjesland te lleva a través del antiguo ferrocarril hacia el parque deportivo y el hermoso Heldenpark donde puedes relajarte. De regreso hacia el centro, tendrás una vista única de la vista urbana protegida del siglo XVI con el ayuntamiento y el 'rootjen'. Los agradables establecimientos de hostelería hacen de esta plaza el acogedor Mercado de Eeklo. La Ramblas recibe su nombre porque el dueño del café y muchos otros sueñan con una especie de Ramblas para el Meetjesland. Ahora la plaza es ciertamente acogedora, pero transformar la concurrida N9 que está un poco más allá en una zona sin coches sigue siendo un sueño que Eeklo anhela. La terraza de De Ramblas debe ser el lugar más popular de la ciudad porque cuando De Ramblas está abierto, siempre hay gente. Verano e invierno.
