Airolo es una comuna suiza del cantón del Tesino, ubicada en el distrito de Leventina, círculo de Airolo.
Airolo es una comuna del alto valle de Leventina, situado 55 km al Norte de Bellinzona, al pie del paso de San Gotardo. Hacia el Oeste envuelve al valle Bedretto, al cual se pasa por el puerto de la Novena que puede contactar con el Cantón del Valais, o atravesando un sendero peatonal que lleva al Passo San Giacomo llega al valle de Formazza en Italia. Limita al norte con las comunas de Andermatt , Hospental , Realp y Tujetsch , al este con Quinto, al sur con Lavizzara, y al oeste con Bedretto.
