Pittenbach es una comunidad local en el distrito de Eifel Bitburg-Prüm en Renania-Palatinado. Pertenece a la comunidad asociada de Prüm.
La terminación del nombre -bach sugiere que el lugar se originó en los siglos IX y X. El lugar se menciona por primera vez en un documento en 1422 como "Peeten-" o "Poetenbach". La abadía de Prüm tenía propiedades allí. En 1523 aparece como Putenbach. Hasta finales del siglo XVIII, el lugar perteneció al condomino de Pronsfeld. En ese tiempo, el lugar contaba con 11 casas.
