El balneario de aire reconocido por el estado se extiende por 2,21 km² y tiene aproximadamente 1000 habitantes.
Zorge se encuentra en el sur de Harz, en el parque natural de Harz, junto al río Zorge, y se desarrolla como un pueblo lineal paralelo al lugar de Wieda, que está aproximadamente a 3 km al oeste. Está situado en un entorno boscoso, al oeste de las montañas Großer Staufenberg y Hoheharz, y al este de las montañas Jagdkopf y Eichenberg. Al este y al sureste del pueblo se encuentra la frontera con Turingia.
