El Lenne es el río afluente más largo del Ruhr. El río nace en la cumbre del Kahler Asten cerca de Winterberg en el Sauerland, a una altitud de 819 metros. El Lenne fluye durante 128 km. En Hagen se une al Ruhr. Con un caudal promedio de 25 metros cúbicos por segundo, es el mayor afluente del Ruhr. Después de la confluencia, el caudal casi se duplica.
