La diócesis de Aquisgrán es una sede de la Iglesia católica, sufragánea de la arquidiócesis de Colonia. En 2013 contaba 1.089.833 bautizados sobre 2.029.348 habitantes. Actualmente la sede está vacante.[1]
La diócesis comprende la parte occidental de Renania del Norte-Westfalia, al confin con Bélgica y Países Bajos. Limita al Norte con las diócesis de Münster y de Essen, al Este con la arquidiócesis de Colonia y la diócesis de Treviri, al sur continúa el límite con esta última y al Oeste hace frontera con la diócesis belga de Liegi y la holandesa de Roermond.
