El castillo de Lichtenberg es un castillo en espolón situado en Thallichtenberg, en el distrito de Kusel, en Renania-Palatinado. Con 425 m de longitud, es una de las ruinas de castillos más largas de Alemania y el mayor conjunto de castillos de la región de Palatinado.
El castillo de Lichtenberg se encuentra en el espolón montañoso de 393,5 m sobre el nivel del mar del monte homónimo en el paisaje montañoso del norte de Palatinado, cuyo pico principal, de 416,8 m de altura, se encuentra a 500 m al noreste. Al sur, el monte está flanqueado por el Pfeffelbach y al noroeste por el Hesselbach. El castillo se sitúa entre Thallichtenberg al noroeste, Ruthweiler al sureste y Körborn al noreste. Al este del castillo hay un gran aparcamiento que se encuentra justo al lado de la carretera del castillo que va de Thallichtenberg a Körborn. El complejo es accesible a pie desde las aldeas circundantes por senderos forestales, siendo Körborn un poco más bajo, mientras que Thallichtenberg está claramente más bajo, a 287 m.
