El Schauspiel Köln es el lugar de teatro tradicional de Colonia. Junto con la Ópera de Colonia y otros edificios, forma los escenarios de la ciudad de Colonia. El edificio, protegido como monumento, cuenta con 830 asientos en el Gran Teatro, 120 en la Sala de Maquinistas y 60 en la Sala de Refrescos. Además, el histórico Halle Kalk, con 200 asientos, estuvo en funcionamiento hasta su cierre por riesgo de colapso en el verano de 2015. Como lugar provisional durante la extensa renovación del Schauspielhaus, desde la temporada 2013/14 se utilizan el Depot 1 y el Depot 2 en el terreno de la antigua Carlswerke en la Schanzenstraße en Colonia-Mülheim. Se prevé la apertura de los escenarios en el lugar original en Offenbachplatz para el comienzo de la temporada 2024/2025.
