Los hermanos Willi y Heinz Dehler fundaron en 1962 Dehler Deutschland GmbH. De esta renombrada empresa de construcción de yates, Heinz Dehler se retiró más tarde y fundó en 1979 el comercio por correspondencia con un catálogo inicial de 24 páginas. En 1992, el hijo del fundador de la empresa y actual director general, Michael Dehler, se unió a la empresa. Se establecieron más sucursales en Europa, y la sucursal suiza ha existido desde 1998 y es dirigida por Petra Bättig-Dehler, la hija del fundador de la empresa.
