Se conoce como Hetlinger Schanze a la playa del Elba en Hetlingen, frente a Lühesand, nombrada así por la histórica fortificación de campo del mismo nombre. En la playa también se encuentran los más altos postes de líneas eléctricas de Europa, conocidos como Elbekreuzung 1 y 2. Es un destino de recreo cercano popular y una reserva natural. En tiempos pasados, aquí estaba el puente más importante del Elba del camino de los bueyes.
