El castillo de Seeburg es un castillo renacentista en Seeburg, en el distrito de Mansfeld-Südharz, Sajonia-Anhalt. La instalación se remonta a un castillo que pertenecía a los llamados castillos del inventario de diezmos de Hersfeld y fue sede de la familia de condes del mismo nombre.
El castillo de Seeburg, junto al lago Süßen, fue durante mucho tiempo asociado con un castillo mencionado varias veces en las fuentes escritas de la década de 740, la Hoohseoburg. Karlmann, el hijo de Carlos Martel, emprendió en 743 una campaña militar hacia el actual Este de Baja Sajonia. Durante esta campaña, también conquistó la Hoohseoburg, una importante fortaleza del gran Teodorico sajón, y lo capturó. Teodorico tuvo que comprometerse a someterse y a pagar tributo al reino de los francos. Sin embargo, solo un año después, en 744, estalló un levantamiento. Teodorico fue derrotado y llevado cautivo al reino franco. El castillo fue probablemente destruido tras la conquista.
