El Hahnenmoor es una reserva natural que se extiende al sur de Herzlake, al este de Dohren y al norte de Grafeld, y desde ahí continúa en el distrito de Osnabrück. El área tiene alrededor de 620 hectáreas y fue declarada área protegida en 1977 como parte del programa de protección de turberas de Baja Sajonia con la designación NSG WE 054. El NSG Hahnenmoor es parte de un área de conservación de hábitats (FFH), que también incluye el Hahlener Moor y el Suddenmoor. Hahnenmoor también es el nombre de la parte más occidental del municipio de Menslage.
