El Brunsberg cerca de Sprötze en el distrito de Harburg de Baja Sajonia es una elevación de aproximadamente 129 m sobre el nivel del mar, situada en los Lohberge, la parte sur de las Montañas Negras, en el borde noroeste de la Heide de Luneburgo. Anteriormente existía junto al término Lohberge el nombre Brunsberge.
El nombre Brunsberg se origina en un trágico suceso, tras el cual dos jóvenes pastores de ovejas, Bruns y Harms, al cuidar las ovejas en el Brunsberg, se les ocurrió por aburrimiento la idea de "jugar a ahorcarse una vez" - lo que Bruns tuvo que pagar con su vida.
