La Brunsberg près de Sprötze dans le district de Harburg en Basse-Saxe est une élévation d'environ 129 m au-dessus du niveau de la mer, faisant partie des Lohberge, la partie sud des Montagnes Noires, à la limite nord-ouest de la lande de Lunebourg. Autrefois, le terme Lohberge était également connu sous le nom de Brunsberge.
Le nom Brunsberg est inspiré d'un événement tragique, selon lequel deux jeunes bergers, Bruns et Harms, s'étaient ennuyés en gardant les moutons sur le Brunsberg et avaient eu l'idée de "jouer à pendre" - ce qui a coûté la vie à Bruns.
