El Nuevo Ayuntamiento de la ciudad de Bocholt fue diseñado por el arquitecto Gottfried Böhm, ganador del Premio Pritzker. El edificio, protegido como monumento, alberga además de la administración, el salón de sesiones del concejo municipal, salas de reuniones de las fracciones municipales y el teatro de la ciudad con aproximadamente 700 asientos.
Desde 1997, hay una oficina de atención al ciudadano en un entrepiso, además de que una sucursal del distrito de Borken está ubicada en el ayuntamiento. Durante la completa renovación y rehabilitación del ayuntamiento a partir de febrero de 2020, las oficinas fueron reubicadas en otros edificios del área de la ciudad.
