El Rögnitz es un río afluente izquierdo de 52 kilómetros de longitud del Sude en el oeste de Mecklemburgo-Pomerania Occidental y en el este de Baja Sajonia.
Una fuente del Rögnitz es hoy en día difícil de localizar debido a las medidas de drenaje y a la canalización que se llevó a cabo desde 1480. Al sur del distrito de Lüblower, Neu Lüblow, el Beck se encuentra con el Nuevo Canal, se conduce a través de este mediante un tubo y a partir de ahí fluye como Rögnitz inicialmente en dirección sur, y hace un giro hacia el suroeste al oeste de Ludwigslust. En ese punto, el canal de Ludwigslust se acerca al Rögnitz a unos 30 metros. En este lugar existe una compuerta divisoria con una conexión tubulada y desde 2009 dos canales de desvío que deben permitir el paso de los peces. La designación de los cursos de agua cambia de lado aquí.
