El Castillo de Bückeburg es un castillo en Bückeburg y sede del Casa de Schaumburg-Lippe, la casa principesca que gobernó el país de Schaumburg-Lippe hasta 1918.
La fundación de Bückeburg como predecesor del castillo se remonta al año 1304, cuando fue mencionado por primera vez en documentos oficiales. A principios del siglo XIV, el conde Adolfo VI de Schauenburg y Holstein-Pinneberg construyó el castillo de agua Bückeburg para supervisar la importante ruta comercial de Hellweg desde allí. El nombre proviene de la antigua Bückeburg, que ya había caído en ruinas alrededor de 1181 en la cercana Obernkirchen, el castillo de los condes de Bukkigaus. Inicialmente, la fortificación consistía solo en una torre de defensa y edificios de servicio, frente a los cuales se desarrolló con el tiempo un pequeño asentamiento.
