La estación fue inaugurada el 1 de marzo de 1871 y cuenta con tres andenes y varias vías auxiliares. Además, la estación tiene un almacén de mercancías. Tanto su acceso y la rampa de carga como el edificio de recepción, los dos andenes y el techo del andén están protegidos como monumento histórico.
