La central eléctrica de Heimbach, o la central eléctrica de Urft, se encuentra en el norte de Eifel, en Rureifel, en el municipio de Heimbach, en el distrito de Düren, Renania del Norte-Westfalia.
La central hidroeléctrica se construyó en conjunto con el embalse de Urft a partir de 1900 y se puso en funcionamiento el 8 de agosto de 1905. Aunque se encuentra en el río Rur, obtiene su agua del embalse de Urft a través del túnel Kermeter, que se eleva 67 metros sobre el nivel de la central eléctrica y entrega un caudal de 16 m³/s. En su inauguración, la central eléctrica era la más grande de Europa en términos de almacenamiento, con una capacidad de 12 megavatios, y es operada por RWE Generation.
