El Centro de Salud de Belén, establecido en 1863 por Roland Ritzefeld en la antigua casa de cobre de Steinfeld, es un hospital de atención básica y regular y un hospital docente académico de la RWTH Aachen con alrededor de 1000 empleados. Dispone de 327 camas para aproximadamente 14,500 pacientes hospitalizados y 35,000 pacientes ambulatorios anualmente, y se organiza en siete departamentos especializados: cirugía, ortopedia y cirugía de accidentes, obstetricia, medicina interna, anestesia, incluyendo terapia del dolor y medicina intensiva quirúrgica, pediatría con unidad de cuidados intensivos pediátricos, así como un departamento de otorrinolaringología. La clínica de radiología ha sido operada desde 2021 como una práctica radiológica de la empresa med 360°. Desde el cierre de la sala de partos en el hospital de la ciudad vecina de Eschweiler en favor de Stolberg en 2016, es el hospital con más nacimientos de la región metropolitana de Aachen; más de 1300 niños nacen aquí cada año.
