El Indemann, por su tamaño y su ubicación en lo alto de Goltsteinkuppe, es el símbolo visible a larga distancia de las perspectivas que indeland ofrece a sus habitantes. Su arquitectura moderna representa el futuro técnico de la región, su luz que cambia constantemente en la oscuridad simboliza la transformación estructural en la cuenca de lignito; su estabilidad representa la historia de más de 10.000 años de indeland. El monumento de 36 metros de altura señala con su brazo hacia el paisaje en constante cambio de la extracción a cielo abierto de Inden. Desde las numerosas plataformas de observación, el espectador puede disfrutar de una vista amplia y espectacular de indeland.
