La Cartuja de Marienburg en la comunidad de Weddern en el distrito de Kirchspiel cerca de Dülmen fue fundada en 1476/77 y existió hasta 1804. Fue la única cartuja en Westfalia. La iglesia del convento, protegida como monumento, de San Jacobo el Mayor sirve hoy como iglesia parroquial. El resto del complejo monástico es hoy parte del Anna-Katharinenstift Karthaus, donde viven personas con discapacidad y encuentran trabajo en los talleres de Karthaus.
