El Wembach nace en Teufelsrechgrund, al sureste del barrio de Ober-Ramstadt Rohrbach. Fluye al este del pueblo de Wembach, atraviesa Reinheim y desemboca en la Gersprenz. De 2019 a 2020, el curso del arroyo fue renaturalizado en parte y se extendió a través de los campos al este de Reinheim, de modo que la desembocadura se encuentra aproximadamente 500 metros más abajo de Gersprenz. Una parte del Wembach alimenta, en caso de inundación, el Langen Graben, que se une al Dilsbach al norte del estanque de Reinheim para formar el Landwehrgraben, el cual desemboca en la Gersprenz después de aproximadamente un kilómetro.
