Il Wembach ha origine nel Teufelsrechgrund, a sud-est della frazione Rohrbach di Ober-Ramstadt. Scorre a est del villaggio di Wembach, attraversa Reinheim e si immette nella Gersprenz. Dal 2019 al 2020, il corso del fiume è stato in parte rinaturato e prolungato attraverso i campi a est di Reinheim, portando l'immissione a circa 500 metri più a valle della Gersprenz. Una parte del Wembach alimenta durante le piene il Langen Graben, che si unisce a nord del Reinheimer Teich con il Dilsbach per formare il Landwehrgraben, il quale si immette nella Gersprenz dopo circa un chilometro.
