Kleinschmalkalden es desde el 1 de febrero de 2006 un barrio de Floh-Seligenthal en el distrito de Schmalkalden-Meiningen, en Turingia, con aproximadamente 1400 habitantes. Desde 1945 hasta 1990, el lugar llevaba el nombre de Pappenheim en recuerdo del político Ludwig Pappenheim, asesinado por los nazis.
Kleinschmalkalden se encuentra en el valle del Schmalkalde, al norte de la ciudad de Schmalkalden, en la ladera suroeste del bosque de Turingia. Aquí se producen campanas, menajes de hierro pequeño y herramientas. En la RDA, el lugar era un reconocido balneario de aire. La estación de tren Spitzkehrenbahnhof Kleinschmalkalden se encontraba en la línea de tren Schmalkalden–Brotterode.
