Los filones de la mina pertenecen a una línea de mineral de cobre que se extendía desde arriba de Langenaubach a través de Donsbach y Nanzenbach hasta Hirzenhain. Las minas en este sistema de filones eran:
La mina Alte Hoffnung explotaba dos filones. En el filón Altenhoffnungsgang, que se extiende en la séptima hora y cae hacia el norte, y en el filón Lembachsgang, que es cuarzoso y tiene un grosor de hasta 3″, el cual se extendía en la undécima hora y caía hacia el este.
Se dice que en el primer filón se habían extraído 110 Lachter en 1867 y en el último aproximadamente 90 Lachter. El Lembachsgang era conocido a lo largo de 300 Lachtern y se había explotado hasta 50 Lachtern en el nivel superior.
