Toros de la ciudad
Se escribe el año 1263. La impresión más antigua del sello municipal de Borken en el documento muestra un castillo románico construido con poderosos bloques de piedra.
La muralla del castillo, con sus almenas y el doble acceso, es sobrepasada por poderosos torres de la ciudad. Hoy en día, solo quedan restos visibles de la muralla.
Cinco torres de la ciudad medieval - la torre de los ladrones, la torre de Holken, la torre de Kuhm, la torre de Wedemhove y la torre del molino de viento, sin embargo, están bien conservadas.
