Skassa es un distrito de la ciudad de gran tamaño Großenhain en el distrito de Meißen en Sajonia con actualmente 253 habitantes. Skassa fue mencionado por primera vez en documentos en 1190 como Zcassowe, en 1205 como Schassowe y en 1261 como Scassowe, en 1350 como castrum Sc[h]assowe y en 1711 como Sckassa.
Großenhain se encuentra en el norte del distrito de Meißen justo en el punto de intersección de la antigua Via Regia y la antigua Ruta de Sal de Sajonia, en el Großen Röder, el lugar Skassa está aproximadamente a 2 km al oeste del centro de Großenhain en la curva del río hacia el norte.
