Dänikhorst es un distrito del municipio de Bad Zwischenahn en el distrito de Ammerland, Baja Sajonia. Al noroeste del lugar se encuentra el pantano de Dänikhorst, que está bajo protección natural desde 1987.
El nombre Dänikhorst se deriva de las palabras del antiguo alemán Tannicht para bosque y Horst como un lugar elevado y seguro. Dänikhorst tuvo un castillo hasta aproximadamente 1509. El libro de documentos de Oldenburg menciona en el año 1305 a Gerhardus Sleppergrelle como propietario de este castillo. Alrededor de 1509, la familia Schlepegrell vendió el castillo al conde Johann el Viejo de Oldenburg. Este dejó que el castillo se deteriorara.
