El teleférico de Niederwald es un teleférico aéreo entre Assmannshausen, un distrito de Rüdesheim am Rhein, y el castillo de caza Niederwald en el monte Niederwald.
El Niederwald en Rüdesheim es una zona boscosa situada alto sobre el Rin, entre Rüdesheim y Assmannshausen. Originalmente un bosque de explotación de la antigua fortaleza Ehrenfels, los posteriores propietarios lo utilizaron como área de caza. Los condes de Ostein transformaron la propiedad en un parque paisajístico, construyeron en 1764 el castillo de caza y, junto con el templo, la ermita, la Rossel, la sala de caballeros y la cueva mágica, crearon miradores románticos sobre el Rin y el Binger Loch.
