El área natural protegida de Lippeaue desde Werne hasta Heil se encuentra en el territorio de las ciudades de Bergkamen y Werne en el distrito de Unna en Renania del Norte-Westfalia.
El área de aproximadamente 415 ha fue declarada protegida en 2007 bajo el número clave UN-055. Se extiende al noreste de Wethmar, un distrito de Lünen, y al suroeste del núcleo urbano de Werne a lo largo del río Lippe. En el borde norte del área discurre la B 54 y en el borde sur la carretera estatal L 736. Al sureste fluye el canal Datteln-Hamm, al sur se extiende el área natural protegida de Beversee de 100 ha.
