Dornumersiel y Westeraccumersiel son una comunidad de aldeas de origen histórico en la costa del Mar del Norte en Ostfriesland, en el área de la antigua bahía de Dornumer. Entre ambas partes del pueblo fluye el Dornumersieler Tief, también conocido como Accumer Tief, que marcaba la antigua frontera del Norderland al oeste y el Harlingerland al este. En el centro del pueblo, el Tief se amplía desde la década de 1960 hasta convertirse en el puerto de navegación de la obra de riego y drenaje de Accumersiel, que se ha ubicado a lo largo de la nueva línea de dique principal en el mar de Watt. En el área exterior del dique se encuentra el puerto pesquero y de yates de Accumersiel. El balneario costero de Dornumersiel pertenece desde 2001 al municipio de Dornum.
