Aschendorf es una localidad en el municipio alemán de Papenburg, en el estado de Baja Sajonia, y cuenta, según el sitio web del municipio, con 8.444 habitantes. Antes de 1932, era la capital del distrito de Aschendorf y entre 1932 y 1977 fue la capital del antiguo Landkreis Aschendorf-Hümmling.
La localidad se encuentra cerca de la autopista A31 Emden-Área del Ruhr. La salida 16), cerca de la frontera con los Países Bajos en Bellingwolde, conecta con la carretera provincial desde la frontera holandesa a través de Rhede hacia Aschendorf. Desde aquí, se tarda otros 5 km hacia el noreste por la B 70 hasta Papenburg misma.
